Dr. Lydia Rodríguez, Department of Spanish, presented a paper titled “Humor, Breaking the Norms to Crack a Smile: Pia Barros, Laura Esquivel, and Cristina Peri Rossi” at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
The paper was presented at the sixteenth annual Carolina Conference on Romance Literatures on March 27, 2010. The paper examines works by these three authors from the humorous perspective.
