Peer advisors are the “heart” of IUP’s Orientation program. They facilitate the Orientation program by providing new students with an introduction to the campus and its resources, assisting them with placement testing and registration, and acting as a representative of Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Selection to become a peer advisor is an honor and a rewarding opportunity for personal and professional growth. Each year, the Advising and Testing Center selects a group of mature and dedicated undergraduate student leaders to assist with implementing university orientation programs.

To be eligible for the position, you must have attained at least 24 credits by the end of the Spring 2012 semester and have a 2.75 overall grade point average. If you are hired for the position, you will receive a $2,200 stipend, plus free room and board throughout the duration of the program and an opportunity to work in the Major and Career Exploration Center the following academic year.

Applications for the position are available online, and all materials are due by Friday, November 4, 2011, in 216 Pratt Hall.
