The IUP Tuba and Euphonium studio, under the direction of Dr. Zach Collins, is set to present OcTUBAfest 2011 starting Friday, October 14, 2011, and running through Thursday, October 27.
This year’s festival features two guest artists, including Richard Murrow, freelance tubist and professor of tuba and euphonium at Texas Christian University, and Jason Ham, solo euphoniumist and member of the West Point Band.
After a success in presenting a “Tubaphonium Musical” in 2010, the IUP Department of Music will once again present a musical written, rehearsed, acted, and performed by the members of the IUP Tuba and Euphonium Studio.
All events are free. Donations will be accepted for the October 27 performance.
