Lauber Provides Leadership Training for Pittsburgh Area Executives

Dr. Erick Lauber, Ph.D. psychologist and Communications Media faculty member at IUP, presented the seminar “Leadership for Today’s Skill-Driven Teams,” provided by the Pittsburgh Society of Association Executives (PSEA), on September 2, 2011.

PSEA, a nationally affiliated nonprofit that inspires excellence in association and nonprofit management, provided leadership training for thirty-five of its members at the Pittsburgh Marriott Airport Hotel. Executives from area organizations, including SAE International, Materials Research Society, Omni Hotels, and PRI, participated in the two-and-a-half hour training seminar as Lauber interactively explored the skills needed by today’s leaders working with talent-rich teams.

Dr. Lauber speaks frequently to civic and business organizations. Recently, he was the guest speaker for both the eighteenth Kiwanis Leadership Workshop and the forty-eight annual National Honor Society Recognition Breakfast. Kiwanis Regional Governor Fred Yun described Dr. Lauber’s talks as “well prepared, on task, enthusiastic, and entertaining. His presentations were timely, interactive, creative, and informative.”

The Pittsburgh Society of Association Executives was founded in 1972 to provide an opportunity for exchange of experience and information through discussion and study at monthly meetings and conferences.
