Starting in the Fall 2011 semester, IUP’s Northpointe campus will have a Writing Center.
Students can get help with writing assignments from all of their classes. Sessions can include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Mechanics, spelling, punctuation
- Paragraphs/transitions
- Introductions and conclusions
- Brainstorming sessions/planning/getting started
- Citing sources
Students should bring a copy of their assignment description and any rough drafts they may have already produced.
Dr. Getchell will operate the Writing Center during the following times:
- Tuesday: 12:45 to 4:30 p.m.
- Thursday: 12:45 to 2:30 p.m.
The Writing Center is located in room 117D on the IUP at Northpointe campus.
