Libraries Display Focuses on the Healing Process After September 11

The IUP Libraries will commemorate the tenth anniversary of September 11 with a display window in the main lobby of Stapleton Library.

Although there are photographs portraying the Twin Towers after they were hit, the window focuses on the healing process rather than the destruction with photographs and artist renditions of the Pentagon, New York City, New Jersey, and Flight 93 National memorials. There is also a selection of profiles featuring passengers and crew of Flight 93 taken from a series published in the Daily American from Somerset, Pa.

Beside the window are portraits of three IUP alumni who perished on September 11, 2001.

The September 11 memorial window will be on display through September 26, 2011.
