Keystone Winds to Present Free Concert at Mellon Park

The Keystone Winds will present a free concert at Mellon Park in Pittsburgh on Sunday, August 7, 2011, as part of the Bach, Beethoven, and Brunch series sponsored by the Pittsburgh Parks.

The Keystone Winds will perform a live concert beginning at 10:30 a.m.

The ensemble is comprised of IUP faculty, emeriti, alumni, and current students. The group was founded nearly twenty years ago by Jack Stamp, IUP’s current Music Department chair and 2008–2009 University Professor.

The Keystone Winds

Since its inception, the ensemble has released eighteen commerically available recordings and have performed at the College Band Directors Association National Conference, International Trumpet Guild Conference, and the World Assocation of Symphonic Bands and Ensembles conference.
