Drs. James Jozefowicz, Stephanie Jozefowicz, and Yaya Sissoko, along with Economics majors Christian Minich and Elizabeth Judge, attended the Pennsylvania Economic Association Conference held at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pa., on June 2–4, 2011.
Economics majors Christian Minich’s and Mitchell DeRubis’s paper, “Access to Formal Credit and Rural Economic Development: An Examination of Prevailing Assumptions in the Land Rental Market of Rural India,” won the Best Undergraduate Student Paper Award. Christian Minich accepted the award. In addition to a $200 award, the paper will be published in an upcoming issue of the Pennsylvania Economic Review.
