Dr. Kevin Eisensmith, professor of Trumpet at IUP, recently returned from a one-week conference of the International Trumpet Guild in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Eisensmith currently serves as president of the guild.
Also attending was Marisa Young, a sophomore Music Education major from Cochranton, Pa. Marisa auditioned for and received a scholarship to attend the conference. She participated in a master class given by trumpeter Edward Carroll.

Eisensmith presided over a two-day meeting of the board of directors, served as master of ceremonies for the Awards Luncheon, and performed as part of the Festival of Trumpets concert.
