Softball Team Wins Atlantic Region I Championship

Pitcher Erin Holloway recorded her second shutout in three games, leading the softball team to a 5-0 victory over Kutztown in the championship game of the NCAA Division II Atlantic Region I tournament Monday, May 16, 2011, at Podbielski Field.

The Crimson Hawks, the top seed in the Atlantic Region, improved to 36-6 and will play Bloomsburg, the second seed, in the Super Regional.

That best two-out-of-three tournament will begin Friday, May 20, at a site to be determined by the NCAA national committee on Tuesday, May 17.
