
The softball team has advanced to the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional pod championship game after defeating Kutztown, 2-1, Saturday, May 14, 2011.
The Crimson Hawks, the top seed in the regional tourney, have won ten in a row, including all eight of their postseason games. Their record now stands at 35-6 on the season.
Due to rain delays Sunday, the championship game vs. Kutztown is scheduled for Monday, May 16, at 10:00 a.m.
If IUP wins Monday, it will advance to the NCAA Division II Super Regionals, May 20 and 21. If IUP were to lose, a deciding game for the pod championship would be played immediately after the 10:00 a.m. game.
