The IUP Libraries is currently hosting a display window entitled “Coal Mining in Pennsylvania.”
The display features a collection of historical memorabilia from the library’s Special Collections and University Archives and includes mining equipment (lamps, helmets, bucket, pick, etc.), original photographs, Pennsylvania mining laws, workers’ earning vouchers, and news of the 1916 Ernest Coal Mine explosion.
