The Ujamaa Reception and Awards Program culminates the Ujamaa Living-Learning Floor program for academic year 2010–2011.
Social Justice Awards will be given out, covering four areas: Lifetime Achievement, Ongoing Commitment, Emerging Leadership, and Student/Graduate Student Group.
The award will honor those of the IUP community “who have demonstrated their compassion, perseverance, courage, and leadership by engaging in the difficult work of fostering human dignity and our common humanity through their projects, programs, and visions.”
Applications are available at the African American Cultural Center, Delaney Hall, Room B23, and are due by 4:00 p.m., April 21, 2011. All are welcome and encouraged to apply.
