Dr. Michael Powers, Director of Web Services, presented “Fast, Cheap, and Actionable: Creating an Affordable Website User Research Program” at the CUPRAP Spring Professional Development Conference in Hershey, Pa. on March 17, 2011.
The presentation discussed affordable research methods for finding out more about visitors to a website, including usability studies, surveys, card sorts, navigation tests, layout tests, and A/B testing. Also discussed was tracking this information over time as part of a continuous improvement program.
