“Start Smart” Workshop

Did you know, on average, women earn seventy-seven cents for every dollar earned by men?

The wage gap is even greater for African American women and Latinas. One of the reasons is women are less likely to negotiate salary and benefits.

Attend the “Start Smart” workshop to discuss skills for negotiating salary and benefits and creating a realistic personal budget for the geographical region where you will work.

The workshop will be March 22, 2011, from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. in the Center for Health and Well-Being, Suites on Maple East, Room G60.

It is free and open to students. Attendance vouchers will be available if students attend as part of an academic assignment.

“Start Smart” is sponsored by the American Association of University Women and the President’s Commission on the Status of Women.
