Exercise Science Club Raises Funds for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society

Exercise Science Club team

On Saturday, February 26, 2011, students from the Exercise Science Club participated in the Race to Anyplace stationary bike ride in Pittsburgh, raising over $1,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

The event was six hours in length, and participants had to keep the bike moving the entire six hours.

The goals of the event were to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and compete for distance on the bikes. The Exercise Science Club team was successful in both goals.

There were over eighty teams competing and over $125,000 raised.

The Exercise Science Club, composed of thirteen students, raised over $1,000 and rode 188.4 miles. The official announcement has not been posted; however we are confident that the team placed third in the open spin division.

The team looks forward to participating again next year. Congratulations to the Exercise Science Club Race to Anyplace team!
