The men’s basketball team has earned the right to host the PSAC Final Four on Friday and Saturday, March 4 and 5, 2011, after defeating California in the quarterfinals Tuesday night.

The Crimson Hawks will face East Stroudsburg at 7:30 p.m. Friday in their semifinal game. In the other semifinal will be Cheyney, which upset Mansfield, and Slippery Rock, which knocked off Mercyhurst.

Winners of the semifinal games will face off Saturday at 7:00 p.m. in Memorial Field House for the conference title.

While the men’s team defeated California 73-86 on Tuesday, the women dropped a 61-51 decision to the Vulcans in their quarterfinal.

The loss brought the women’s record to 19-8 overall and 10-3 in the conference. The Crimson Hawks are on the bubble for a bid to the NCAA Atlantic Region tournament, and they must wait until selections are made Sunday night to see if they will earn an at-large bid.
