A Brazilian business professor visited Eberly College of Business and Information Technology (ECOBIT) on Thursday, January 27, 2011 , at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Sergio Perussi, professor of business administration at University Center Central Paulista (UNICEP) in Sao Carlos, Brazil, delivered a lecture to IUP MBA students titled “Current Business Trends in Brazil,” said Dr. Krish Krishnan, ECOBIT graduate coordinator.

Perussi discussed new enhancements to exchange program activities between IUP and UNICEP, Krishnan said. He also presented to the IUP International Business Student Association and attended meetings and discussions relative to innovation and technology transfer, including a visit to the electro-optics lab at IUP’s Northpointe campus, coordinated by Anthony Palamone, director of the ECOBIT Small Business Development Center.
In addition to being a professor, Perussi has served as coordinator of innovation for the National Institute of Optics and Photonics and co-authored a book on Optics, titled Optica & Fotonica, Da Cienca e Inovacao a Evolucao e as Perspectivas no polo Technologico de Sao Carlos.
