Darryl Webb of the men’s basketball team broke IUP’s all-time scoring record Saturday, February 5, 2011, against Gannon. Webb finished the game, which IUP won 73-58, with a career total of 1,729 points.

Webb entered the game needing three points to break Robert Misenko’s fifteen-year-old school mark. He finished with a game high of sixteen.

Webb also holds school records in rebounds (1,087) and blocked shots (140).

Saturday’s win brought IUP to a record of 14-5 (5-2 in the PSAC West).

Three other IUP players reached double figures: Kevin Stewart, with fourteen points; Willi Estrella, twelve points; and Julian Sanders, eleven points. Sanders moved within nineteen of reaching one thousand career points.

IUP returns home Wednesday, February 9, for a 7:30 p.m. contest against California.
