Dr. Anastasia Antonacos, professor of Piano, recently was awarded an IUP Senate Award. The grant will be used to cover travel expenses to the June 2011 World Piano Conference in Novi Sad, Serbia.
Antonacos will present a lecture-recital entitled “A Celebration of the Music of Franz Liszt 200 Years After His Birth.”
A wide variety of Liszt’s works will be performed and discussed.
In addition, Dr. Antonacos has been invited to work with local students during the conference.
