Fiddler on the Roof will be performed in Fisher Auditorium on Monday, January 24, 2011. Tickets are now on sale.
Winner of eight Tony Awards, Fiddler on the Roof takes you through the story of Tevyek and his family’s changing world. The musical takes place in Anatevka, a small peasant Jewish village in Czarist Russia at the beginning of the Russian Revolution. Tevyek is the proud father of five daughters who wish to marry men they love instead of the promised unions he has arranged. A poor milkman with the dreams of a rich philosopher, Tevyek is torn by his feelings of tradition and holds many conversations with God in an attempt to sort things out.
