Shellenbarger Publishes Three Nursing Articles

Dr. Teresa Shellenbarger, professor and doctoral program coordinator in the Department of Nursing and Allied Health Professions, recently published three articles.

The first article, “Helping Patients Adhere to a Gluten-Free Diet,” was written with a graduate of the Master of Science in Nursing program (Monroeville), Pamela DeGeorge. It was published in the September 2010 edition of American Nurse Today, the official journal of the American Nurses Association. The journal reaches over 175,000 nurses in a multitude of specialties and practice settings.

The next article was published with Cristina Perez Stearns, a doctoral Nursing student. Their article, “From the Classroom to Clinical: A Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act Primer for the Nurse Educator,” was published in Teaching and Learning in Nursing.

Lastly, Shellenbarger published “The Lived Experience of Part-Time Baccalaureate Nursing Faculty” with Elizabeth A. Gazza. This was recently published in the November/December issue of the Journal of Professional Nursing.
