McNair Scholar Jennifer Casanova traveled to Anaheim, California, from September 29 to October 3, 2010, to attend the annual Society for Advancement of Chicanos and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS) national conference.
SACNAS is a national organization that promotes Hispanics/Chicanos and Native Americans in science. The conference provides mentoring and training sessions, research presentations, cultural enrichment opportunities, and nationally renowned keynote speakers to motivate and inspire students to persist in science, technology, engineering, and math disciplines.
This is the second time Jennifer has been selected to attend.
