Dr. Henry Wong Doe, assistant professor of piano in the Depeartment of Music, recently received a University Senate Research Committee Award to record a debut disc of piano works by New Zealand composer Gareth Farr.
The USRC grant will be used together with a grant from the New Zealand Arts Council Creative NZ. The disc will be recorded in New York in March 2011 and released on the NZ label HRL Morrison Trust this summer.
