The IUP Office of Service Learning is sponsoring opportunities to help make the upcoming holiday season a joyful one for local families and children in need.
- Toys for Tots: Help the U.S. Marine Corps by providing gifts for economically disadvantaged children up to fourteen years old in the Indiana area. Gifts can range from $15 to $30 and can be any toy or monetary donation.
- Treasures for Children: Help the Salvation Army by providing gifts for more than two thousand people in the Indiana area. Gifts can range from $5 to $100 and can include DVDs, CDs, baby dolls, and trucks.
Wish tag distribution runs from November 15–19, 2010, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the HUB Fitness Center. Gift drop-off will be from November 29 to December 3, 2010, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the HUB Fitness Center.
The trees are two-feet tall, free-standing cardboard, and have five wish tags each for Toys for Tots and Treasures for Children. If your office would like to sponsor a tree, please contact the Office of Service Learning, and one will be delivered to you.
