On Friday, November 5, 2010, educators from career and technical centers in western Pennsylvania will gather at IUP at Northpointe for an interactive special needs workshop conducted by Diane Soboloweski, supervisor of Special Education at the Armstrong-Indiana Intermediate Unit 28.
The workshop will focus on how to utilize the full potential of a paraprofessional in the CTE classroom, effective use of supplementary aids and services, allowable accommodations for all students, and methods for breaking down a task for effective teaching and assessment.
This workshop is hosted by the IUP Center for Career and Technical Personnel Preparation in cooperation with IUP at Northpointe.
