Take a Scary Literary Trip

Loading...

Just in time for Halloween, IUP’s English Book Club will be discussing Neil Gaiman’s The Graveyard Book. The meeting will be in Delaney Hall, Room G-5, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 28, 2010. This book club meeting is open to all interested students, faculty, and staff, and refreshments will be served.

Gaiman’s book won the 2009 Newbery Medal for the best young adult novel of the year. Before moving into young adult literature, Gaiman rose to fame as a writer of the comic book series The Sandman, particularly for his portrayal in that series of a female Death character.

Come join in a lively discussion of Gaiman’s book, and help pick the next book the club will be reading. New English Book Club members are always welcome. (Please note that students do not have to be English majors to take part—everyone is welcome!)

Contact Dr. Gian Pagnucci, Professor of English, by e-mail at pagnucci@iup.edu for more information.
