Faculty and Students Present at National League for Nursing Summit

The Department of Nursing and Allied Health Professions was strongly represented at the National League for Nursing annual education summit held in Las Vegas, Nev., in September 2010.

The following oral presentations were presented during the summit:

  • “The Meaning of Grades: Stories of Undergraduate, Graduate, and Doctoral Nursing Students” by Dr. Susan Poorman.
  • “Simulation: Not Just for Clinical Problems” by Dr. Teresa Shellenbarger and Taylor Edwards

The following posters were also presented during the summit:

  • “Using Problem-Based Learning to Focus on QSEN Competencies in Clinical” by Dr. Kristy Chunta and doctoral student Liz Katrancha
  • “Supporting and Retaining Returning Adult Students” by doctoral nursing students Shelly Moore, Paulette Dorney, Pamela Chapman, and Riah Hoffman
