IUP Geography and Regional Planning graduate students Adam Nelson, Amber Snavley, Jason Wade, and Jeff Zearfoss and undergraduates James Chaney, Natalie Ilcheva, and Alex Rudowski served as university student workers during the 2010 Pennsylvania Planning Association annual conference held on October 3-5, 2010, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
The students assisted with conference logistics and had the opportunity to attend professional sessions and network with planning professionals from across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Highlights of the conference included the opening keynote speech by Patrick McCrory, former mayor of Charlotte, North Carolina, and the Pipkin Lecture, featuring Chris Leinberger of the Brookings Institute.
Fifty-one professional planning workshops were held during the two-day event.
