Dr. Robert W. Sweeny, an associate professor of Art/Art Education, recently edited the inaugural online volume of The Journal of Social Theory in Art Education. The volume, titled “Un(precedent)ED,” includes ten essays from art education professionals.
Sweeny was elected editor of JSTAE in 2009 and is currently serving a two-year term. Sweeny also recently coedited The Journal of Surveillance and Society (Vol. 7, No.2), “Surveillance, Performance and New Media Art,” with John E. McGrath.
