Bio: Dr. Adel Fergany

Dr. Adel Fergany

Dr. Fergany is currently an associate professor at the Computer Science Department, University of Slippery Rock, where he teaches Software Project Management, Management Information Systems, File Processing, and Productivity Software. Dr. Fergany holds a B.Sc. in Electronics and Communication from Cairo University (1974), and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Computer Science from Illinois Institute of Technology (1986). Dr. Fergany has a long experience that covers both industry and academia. Before joining Slippery Rock, he worked for several companies, including Texas Instruments, in various technical and managerial capacities.

This semester's Science Inspires Series (SIS) concludes with a faculty talk, "A Novel System for Searching Image Databases using Evolutionary Algorithms," by Waleed Farag, Computer Science professor, on November 12 at 4:30 p.m., in 107 Weyandt Hall.

Information Assurance Day 2015

This year’s Information Assurance Day is coming up on October 29 from 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. in the HUB Delaware Room. Presentation topics from industry professionals range from risk management to the dangers associated with container files and mobile computing.
