Luke Timpe, PMP® – Information Assurance Analyst

Luke Timpe currently works at MTS Technologies, Inc., as an information assurance analyst. His primary role is performing certification and accreditation support services for the US 101 Presidential Helicopter program. Mr. Timpe is a former IUP alumnus, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems and a minor in Information Assurance. He has more than eight years of professional IT experience in various technical, functional, and leadership roles. His personal self-motivation and career development goals have focused his efforts in IT Project Management. He has obtained his Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification and is pursuing his Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).


Ben Sylvester, Security+® - Information Assurance Analyst

Ben Sylvester is an information assurance analyst at MTS Technologies, Inc. In his current role, he performs certification and accreditation support services for the US 101 Presidential Helicopter program. Mr. Sylvester is a former IUP alumnus, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems and a minor in Information Assurance. Mr. Sylvester has more than six years experience in IT, to include Java software development, system testing, and ARMY IT experience. He has obtained his CompTIA Security +® certification and is currently working towards his Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), the pinnacle IA certification.

Charlie Day – Information Assurance Analyst

Charlie Day is an information assurance analyst employed at MTS Technologies, Inc. In his current role, he performs certification and accreditation support services for the US 101 Presidential Helicopter program. Mr. Day has more than eight years experience as an analyst and IT Field Technician/Specialist, holding various technical positions through his civilian and Army career. Mr. Day attended Frostburg State University studying a B.S. in Computer Science. He is currently working towards obtaining his CompTIA Security + certification.

Information Assurance Day 2015

This year’s Information Assurance Day is coming up on October 29 from 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. in the HUB Delaware Room. Presentation topics from industry professionals range from risk management to the dangers associated with container files and mobile computing.
