This opera, composed by Aaron Copland, is set in the Midwest of the 1930’s and shows how a young girl must choose between living in her quiet town or leaving to explore the outside world. December 4–7 on the Waller Hall Mainstage in the IUP Performing Arts Center.

Theater Offers Up Futuristic Classic in “Fahrenheit 451”

Theater-by-the Grove at IUP will present “Fahrenheit 451” on November 6–8 and 12–15. This classic, provoking tale by Ray Bradbury centers on media influence and will be presented on the Waller Hall Mainstage.

Chinese Acrobats Coming to Fisher Auditorium

Direct from Beijing, the National Acrobats of the People’s Republic of China will perform a one-night-only event on November 11, 2014, at a family-friendly time of 7:00 p.m. in Fisher Auditorium of IUP’s Performing Arts Center.

Tickets Available for “Fahrenheit 451”

Fahrenheit 451, presented by Theater-by-the-Grove productions, is based on the book claimed to be one of Ray Bradbury’s best works. It brings the issues of media and technology to the surface in a powerful, non-stop journey of adaptation. November 6–16 at Waller Hall Mainstage.
