High School Honors Students Attend Summer Boot Camp for Media

High school honors students from around the country sampled a smorgasbord of local news and communications operations during a two-week course in journalism and mass media sponsored by the Cook Honors College and the Department of Journalism and Public Relations.

Tenth Annual Journo-Palooza Boosts Scholarship Funds

The 10th annual Get Down at the Brown fundraiser featured three rock bands helping to raise funds for two scholarships for Journalism and Public Relations Department majors at IUP. The scholarship funds are managed by the IUP chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists.

In February 2014, student journalists revived an award-winning local-news program that airs on WIUP-FM, the campus non-commercial radio station in the basement of Davis Hall.
