2014 Practicum in Biotechnology Applications Now Being Accepted

One of the goals of the Biotechnology Research Institute is to help prepare students for careers in applied sciences. With this goal in mind, N. Bharathan will offer a Practicum in Biotechnology for undergraduate students during Summer 2014.

Bharathan to Run Biotechnology Summer Camp for High School Students

N. Bharathan of the Biology Department will conduct a Biotechnology Summer Camp for students in grades 10–12 during Summer 2013. The goal is to motivate students to study biology and to acquaint them with modern research techniques.

Secondary Science Education Programs Receive NCATE Accreditation

The IUP Secondary Science Education programs, covering Biology, Chemistry, Earth Sciences, and Physics, have been awarded national recognition without conditions through the National Science Teachers Association and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education.
