Beginning in the Fall 2012 semester, the Safety Sciences Department will offer a B.S. in Safety, Health, and Environmental Applied Sciences, rather than a B.S. degree in Safety Sciences.

The Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education Board of Governors approved IUP’s Doctor of Philosophy in Safety Sciences program on October 6, 2011.

There are currently four scholarship available to IUP Safety Sciences students: the David L. Johnson Family Safety Sciences Award, a Chevron Scholarship, an Alcoa Campus Partnership Program Scholarship, and the Mid-Atlantic Construction Safety Council Safety Scholarship.
