The IUP Department of Religious Studies remembers R. Thomas Schaub, an accomplished Biblical studies scholar, archeologist and valued member of the department faculty for 30 years until his retirement in 1999.

Annual Kipp Seelhorst Lecture: “The Art of Ithell Colquhoun and the Unfolding of Modern British Occultism”

The annual Kipp Seelhorst Lecture welcomes professor Amy Hale on Wednesday, November 12, when she will use Colquhoun’s amazing visual legacy as a focus for discussing the various strands of thought that permeated and ultimately shaped British esoteric culture as we know it today.

Downie Receives Grant to Gather Information on IUP Religious Studies Graduates

Alison Downie received a grant from the American Academy of Religion to participate in its launch of a research initiative, beginning March 2014, to gather data from religious studies majors from many universities regarding the long-term impacts of attaining a B.A. in Religious Studies.
