Laquatra Publishes Research Nutrition Fact Panel Revision

Idamarie Laquatra, assistant professor in the Department of Food and Nutrition, published the results of a consumer survey about the addition of the phrase "added sugar" on the revised Nutrition Facts Panel (NFP) that is being proposed by the Food and Drug Administration.

Seybold and Graduate Students Provide Latin American Foods for Walk Through Latin America

Jodie Seybold, instructor in the Department of Food and Nutrition, and graduate student dietetic interns will prepare traditional Latin American foods as part of the " Walk Through Latin America" exhibit that is part of the recognition of Day of the Dead.

Student Association Donates to Nutrition Student after Unfortunate Loss

The Student Association of Nutrition and Dietetics (SAND) donated several gift cards to Amanda Tiell, a fellow major in the Department of Food and Nutrition, after she lost most of her belongings in a fire in her Copper Beach apartment right after she moved in.

Hsiao Publishes on “Dietary Patterns and Weight Change in Rural Older Adults”

Pao Ying Hsiao, assistant professor in the Department of Food and Nutrition, published “The Association of Dietary Patterns and Weight Change in Rural Older Adults 75 Years and Older” in the November 2014 online edition of the Journal of Nutrition in Gerontology and Geriatrics.
