Register and Submit Program Proposals for Upcoming LGBTQIA Conference at IUP

“True Colors of Leadership: Positively Impacting the Queer Community” will be held on Friday, April 10, at IUP, featuring keynote speaker J’Lissabeth Faughn, director of the Multicultural Center and the Pride and Women’s Resource Center at Sacramento State University.

Postponed: Six O’Clock Series Hosts “Until Tuesday” This Monday

Captain Luis Carlos Montalván and his service dog, Tuesday, will present “Until Tuesday” as part of the Six O’Clock Series on Monday, November 17, in Fisher Auditorium. Captain Montalván and Tuesday will be signing books and taking pictures after the presentation.

Danielle Deal, a senior marketing major and a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority, was selected by HazingPrevention.org to receive the 2013 Hank Nuwer Anti-Hazing Hero Award.

T-Shirts as Opportunities for Education

As March approaches, so do t-shirt sales that reflect themes related to St. Patrick’s Day. Some shirts are designed to reflect one of the themes promoted by the Center for Student Life’s t-shirt contest, while others promote values and behaviors that run counter to IUP’s mission and values.

On Monday, February 17, Keisha Brown will discuss her research into China’s media depictions of and diplomatic exchanges with African-Americans from 1949–1972.
