Parveen Ali, Developmental Studies, presented “Number Sense in Developmental Students” at the annual conference of the National Association for Developmental Education, February 27–March 2, 2013.

This third workshop in the College Success Workshop Series is open to all students and will be held Wednesday, February 27, 2013, from 7:00–7:50 p.m. in room 312, Pratt Hall. This workshop is limited to 15 students.

Professor Sally Lipsky, Department of Developmental Studies, has published the third edition of her popular textbook, College Study: The Essential Ingredients. College Study exposes readers to how to make informed choices about learning content that's often new, complex, and changing rapidly, especially given the increasing link between technology and learning.

Stephenson has served the PSTA for over 13 years in capacities ranging from Western College representative to president of the association.

On November 9, 2012, Danhua Wang presented on the development of critical thinking, reviewed textbooks, and introduced a critical thinking test at the 45th annual conference of the College Learning and Reading Association.

Arden Hamer, Developmental Studies, presented a book review of Hanging Out, Messing Around, and Geeking Out, followed by a facilitated discussion, at the College Reading and Learning Association’s national conference in Houston, Texas, in November 2012.
