Dr. George Bieger, of the Professional Studies in Education Department, was re-elected to the board of directors of the European Teacher Education Network.

Ms. Yong Yu, Dr. George Bieger, Dr. Larry Vold, and Dr. Alphonse Novels presented a paper at the annual meeting of the European Teacher Education Network in Izmir, Turkey, in April.

Monte Tidwell, of the Department of Professional Studies in Education, gave a presentation at the National Association for Professional Development Schools Conference (NAPDS) in Daytona Beach, Fla., on March 13, 2009.

Dr. George Bieger and Dr. Larry Vold presented a paper at the fifth annual Conference on Higher Education Reform in Shanghai, China. Their paper was entitled “Creating the Opportunity for Internationalization Through Personal Contact: A Model for Bottom-up Reform.”

Recently published articles by Kelli Paquette and Sue Rieg appeared in Early Childhood Education Journal, Journal of Instructional Psychology, and Literacy Research and Instruction.

DeAnna Laverick coauthored the book chapter “A Research Review of Technology in Early Childhood Education: Implications for Best Practice” in New Research on Early Childhood Education.
