Dr. John Lattanzio of the Mathematics Department presented “Partition Types” at the Midwest Conference on Combinatorics, Cryptography, and Computing on October 4, 2009. This year's conference was in honor of the sixty-eighth birthday of Walter Wallis.

Dr. Janet Walker of the Mathematics Department coauthored the article “This Rock’n’Roll Video Teaches Math” in Learning and Leading with Technology, a publication of the International Society for Technology in Education.

Mathematics Professor Edel Reilly presented “Writing + Math + Assessment = Opportunity: Forging New Interdisciplinary Connections.” Dr. Reilly also participated in a workshop on mathematics and fiction in Oxford, England.
