Webcast on Proposed PASSHE Weapons Management Policy Scheduled for January 9

An hour-long webcast featuring Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education officials will be held beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2014, to provide information about a proposed policy that would restrict the possession of “deadly or offensive weapons” on PASSHE university campuses.

PASSHE, SCUPA Reach Tentative Agreement on New Contract

The new contract would run through June 30, 2015. Both parties said they believe the tentative agreement, which was reached on October 16, 2012, is a fair one and will recommend its ratification.

State System Board of Governors Names Presidents for East Stroudsburg, Slippery Rock

The Board of Governors of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education selected Cheryl Norton to serve as Slippery Rock University’s next president and Marcia Welsh to serve as East Stroudsburg University’s next president.
