President David Werner provides an update on a helicopter accident that occurred April 30, 2011, near the IUP campus. Although those in the helicopter were injured; no students or others on the ground were hurt.

Following the governor’s recommendation to decrease the state allocation to PASSHE by 50 percent for 2011–2012, President Werner stressed that IUP and the State System will make every effort to avoid disruptions to the education process.
