November is Native American Awareness Month. In celebration of the history and culture of the region’s Native Americans, events have been planned for November 18 and 19.

Folk-Rock Performer to Visit Campus for LGBTQIA Awareness

Namoli Brennet is an award winning singer/songwriter who is also transgender. She weaves her story throughout her concert and will perform at IUP on Tuesday, November 17, at 8:00 p.m. in McVitty Auditorium.

Title IX-Protection of Minors Required Employee Training

IUP is committed to establishing and maintaining a community free from all forms of discrimination and harassment and is dedicated to promoting the safety and security of minors who visit campus or participate in our programs. Large-group training sessions have been scheduled for all colleges and divisions here on campus. These training sessions are required for every employee each academic year.

The Hispanic Heritage Council and the Latino Student Organization will present daily events during the week of October 12–16 to celebrate the traditions and importance of Latino and Hispanic cultures.

“The Women of Ciudad Juarez” Theater Production Coming to Campus

“The Women of Ciudad Juarez” uses the theater as a space to examine, reflect on, and speak about the femicides taking place in Juarez, Mexico. This free performance will take place on Friday, April 24, 2015, at 7:00 p.m. on the Waller Theater Main Stage.
