“White Like Me: Race, Racism and White Privilege in America” To Be Screened

A screening of the documentary “White Like Me: Race, Racism and White Privilege in America,” directed by anti-racism educator Tim Wise, will be shown on Wednesday, April 13, 2016. A faculty and student panel discussion will immediately follow. This event is free, and all are welcome.

Invitation to Sixth Annual Noche Latina Celebration

The Hispanic Heritage Council invites all IUP community members to the sixth annual Noche Latina celebration on Saturday, April 16, at 6:00 p.m. in McVitty Auditorium, Sprowls Hall. The evening will include Hispanic food, music, and entertainment.

Screening and Discussion of “The Hunting Ground” Scheduled for Campus Community

“The Hunting Ground,” a documentary that raises awareness and responses to sexual assault on university campuses, will be shown on Thursday, April 7, 2016. A panel presentation and Q&A discussion will immediately follow. This event is free and open to the entire IUP community.

Islamic Awareness Day Set For March 31

The theme of this year’s program, taking place on March 31 in the Eberly College of Business and Information Technology auditorium, is “Islam as a Way of Life” and will feature Sheikh Yusuf Estes, a Muslim-American preacher. All events are free and open to the community.
