The softball team will make its first appearance at the College World Series, May 26–30, 2011, in Salem, Va., after defeating Bloomsburg, 2-1, in game two of the NCAA Division II Atlantic Super Regional, Saturday, May 21.

Darryl Webb, of Elkridge, Md., a senior forward on the men’s basketball team, has been named 2011 Division II Player of the Year by the National Association of Basketball Coaches.

The men’s basketball team’s season ended March 15, 2011, in the NCAA Atlantic Region championship game with an 89-86 loss to tournament host and top seed West Liberty.
