IUP Participates in Department of Education $500,000 Alcohol Culture Change Grant

PASSHE received a $500,000 two-year U.S. Department of Education grant to reduce alcohol consumption and binge drinking among first-year residence students by 7 percent. IUP will be one of fourteen universities participating in the grant’s goals.

Implementing screening and brief interventions that address tobacco and alcohol use in a university or health-care setting helps students reduce their high-risk behaviors.
