NEA Awards Grant to IUP for University Museum Exhibition

The IUP Research Institute, on behalf of the University Museum, has received a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts in support of the 2016 University Museum Exhibition that will feature the artwork and archival collection of American artist Milton H. Bancroft (1866–1947).

Recent Acquisitions Highlight as University Museum Goes Downtown

Since July 2013, over 50 new art works have been acquired by the University Museum at IUP through purchase and donation. Beginning April 7, 2015, many of these new works will be on display at the Artists Hand Gallery.

Invitational Exhibit Features High School Art From Across Pennsylvania

The 2015 High School Art Invitational at the University Museum of IUP is a celebration of Pennsylvania student artists, showcasing over 50 works representing 12 high schools from across the state. The exhibit opens on Saturday, March 28, and runs through May 16.

Local Artists Olson and Wyant Contribute to University Museum Benefit Gala

Local artists Chuck Olson and Gary Wyant have contributed works to the University Museum gala benefit happening Saturday, September 21, 2013. All are invited to this festive evening of music, dining, dancing, and art.

University Museum Opens with “Layers: Places in Peril”

This exhibit, featured in Fall 2013, explains how the fragile environment in which we live can be dramatically impacted by the global climate. The artworks and texts suggest that, through planning and action, people can develop a more symbiotic relationship with the natural world.
