Fall Hours at Counseling Center Start August 26

Students experiencing difficulties dealing with various events and challenges in their lives can find support and help at the Counseling Center:  Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Walk-in hours are scheduled each day. Appointments can also be scheduled.

Check the Counseling Center website for Fall 2013 times and procedures for using walk-in hours.

Training for Working with Veterans and Service Members: Center for Deployment Psychology

The IUP Counseling Center, the Center for Deployment Psychology, and the American Council on Education are pleased to present an exciting training opportunity: “Would You Recognize Me, If I Weren’t In Uniform?” This workshop is free.

The program, which is eligible for Continuing Education Units, provides informative and engaging training for mental health and support professionals working on a college or university campus, and increases competency in addressing the concerns, challenges, culture, and experience of service members and veterans attending college.

Although the afternoon session is most relevant to mental health professionals, the morning session is open to all faculty, professionals, and staff. The workshop is free.
