Tickets are now available for 2011 home football games. The halftime program during the September 10 home opener against East Stroudsburg will feature the induction of ten alumni into the IUP Athletics Hall of Fame.

IUP softball assistant coach Megan Timpf recently helped Canada to a bronze medal at this summer’s World Cup of Softball VI with a 4-1 win over Australia in the third place game at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City.

The IUP women’s track and field team earned 2011 All-Academic status from the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

IUP will be in the national spotlight Thursday, September 15, 2011, when the CBS Sports Network televises the home football game, but, before that, ten alumni will be inducted into the IUP Sports Hall of Fame on Saturday, September 10.

IUP’s Robbie Zinsmeister has been named the Futures Collegiate Baseball League Most Valuable Player, as it was announced Wednesday by the league.

IUP women’s tennis players Katie Eaton, Tabtip Louhabanjong, Kelly McBryan, and Emilia Osborne were named Scholar-Athletes by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, and the Crimson Hawks were named a 2011 All-Academic Team.
